Definition of Exposition Text

Exposition text is an open writing that can produce pros and cons for the author. Writings that are classified as expository texts are sometimes also known as name argument texts, because this text will be dominated by the author's arguments and that is the characteristic that distinguishes this type of exposition text from other texts.

Exposition Text Type

There are two types of expository text in English that you can distinguish. Among others are:

Analytical Exposition

Analytical Exposition Text is a text that elaborates the writer's opinion on phenomena/issues without persuading the readers to do something. This text will only persuade the readers that the phenomena/issues are important/worth it to be discussed by providing the arguments/opinions to support the topic. The social function is to convince the reader that the topic presented is an important topic to discuss.

Hortatory Exhibition

Hortatory exposition is a type of exposition text that begins with a statement containing the issue or problem that is raised as the theme of the writing.

  Holla Readers!  Welcome back to my blog, so today I will explain about Explanation Text pt. 2 Happy Reading ♪( ´θ｀)ノ Language Feature Of Explanation Text Using sentences in the form of tense / current time (Present Indefinite or Simple Present Tense). Passive voice / passive voice to direct the reader to the process or event rather than the subject. Elements of abstract nouns, namely nouns that cannot be seen in real terms, such as love, joy, emotions, etc. Just like the example of recount text, in explanation text also use action verbs to describe ongoing processes such as kick, eat, think, run, etc. There are noun phrases/noun phrases, for example white snow, water cycle, big house, etc. Using technical terms, namely terms that refer to the topic being discussed.
